New Things. Lost Minds.

awake- YES! i am feeling awake. alive again. it has been a while since last update. sorry. life has been a rollercoaster for me lately. i feel like i have no idea where i am going and i dont know what to do anymore. Untill recently. when i got a new bike. my little Magna 12 speed. i love this bike so much. i have been riding more than i have been sleeping, when i am on my bike i feel like i am in controll of the world. it makes me feel good, it makes me feel; as much as i hate this expression; alive again. i feel as if i could just ride my bike all day, in one direction with out ever looking back till i fell off from my legs hurting to much and not being able to go any farther. Cooking. i havnt been doing it as much as i would like due to my current living situation being the craziest it has ever been. in 5 days i move in with kaylab, and kristen. i can not fuckin wait. kaylab has been a good friend of mine for a long time and i cant wait to meet kristen. just WOW my mind has so much racing i dont know what else to say. to do. what am i here for? what will i give the world back? i have been thinking this. and i set a few goals for my self. some big. some small. here they are.

LONG TERM GOALS:
Bike Across america ( starting in Washintion State, Ending in Florida)
Bike the TransCanada ride
Chef Job in a fast paced High class resturant.

Short Term:
Bike the Cowboy Trail
Pass Cuilinary School
Car

Umm i have been riding my bike a lot a lot more. i am riding The Cowboy Trail at the end of august and i can not be more exxxcited!

other than that, i have been living and loving my life.

At Half-Mast, Lightning Bug, the Sharks, Moneyfruit, and Pats Band, was a super super good time, one of the best house shows in awhile! Thanks for those of you who came out..and to those who actullly stayed the whole show!

i am sitting in a super 8 motel right now and here is the story why.

July 15th 2009- Road Trip with Morgan and Danni!

we leave omaha around 1:30/2:00 pm ish to head towards the amazing iowa city!

so about a hour or two in as we are driving at about 85 miles a hour the top threads of our tire flys off! IT ALMOST SMACKED MORGAN IN THE FACE! (window was down).

at that point we where debating on weather or not to finish the journey on a doughnut. We Did! we rolled into iowa city around 7pm. get to the show and find out we missed the swellers, we got over it and FIREWORKS! played a amazing set!, then FOUR YEAR STRONG. WOW HOLY SHIT! i have never seen such a good live show. they kill it on stage. the iowa city crowd was CRAZY awesome, and loved doing what they do. SET YOUR GOALS then played a amazing set. 40 minutes of constant pile on's and sing alongs with some amazing people.

after the show we say goodbye to the swellers, and venture to v.i. to eat some food with the best waiter EVER GREG! this dude was awesome! so we then decided that getting a hotel would be better! and lord behold we see the swellers van across the street! so we went and said hey, then the whole GIG LIFE tour shows up( GRAVEMAKER, THE SWELLERS, FOUR YEAR STRONG, SET YOUR GOALS) so we ended up hanging out in a walmart parking lot will MJ sing alongs, Slipknot singalongs, a dance contest and BBQing with all these guys and they are super nice..

umm getting a new tire now...

thats all i have been feeling lately.

Ever since Friday my talk with Mike, and seeing a lot of people i have not seen in a long time.
up until the last couple weeks i have felt completely lost, not know what i want to do, where i want to be, who i want to keep in my life. In the last few weeks, i have been thinking, what do i want to do with my life, and all that comes to mind even over music is COOKING!, when i cook, i am the happiest i will ever be, i want to cook for the world, own a restaurant that even the homeless can come enjoy, and have a good full home cooked meal. i want to learn to cook foods from all around the world, and bring them to my friends. and let the enjoy my creations as much as i enjoy there music. Most of my friends, play amazing music, sing, write, do art. THIS IS MY MUSIC,THIS IS MY ART, I WANT TO CREATE DISH'S .

Friday-Sorry i know i am everywhere with this. I talked with Mike(for today!) and we talked about life, this is a person i have known for a long time, and i see him about maybe once or twice every two or three months being as he is always on tour. but when i do see him, we talk, not just how youve been chats, REAL TALK! talk about life, he talks about his faith, i talk about what i have been feeling, that i have been lost. that i have felt the worse i have in a long time, and friday we talked, and just by having him listen everything came into full effect. i will get better, my DREAMS will come true. at this show i also became ruinited with a old friend Caitlyn. and as of today all i can say is

WOW!

we have talked everyday sense cought up. and i feel like we where long lost friends. i have been able to talk to her about everything, just as much as i talk to morgan about, she is young, but has been through more than a alot of people i know. she has opened my eyes, and showed me that everything happens for a reason.
please dont get the wrong idea with this thou, she is a friend, an amazing friend.

i "started" work today. PAPPERRR WORRKSS!

summer has been good so far.

i will hopfully be movin out at the end of the month, and am really looking forward to it.

i dont want people to think i dont still love them just as much as i used to, because i do. i just have been in a funk, and not getting ahold of anyone, doing the whole if you want to see me call me.

the last couple days

sunday we came home from the cities and our car ran out of gas!

Monday MOGWAI!- HOLLLLYYY SHITTT SO LOUD SOO HEAVY SOO FUCKING GOOD, i have seen them once before and i was not very impressed the first time, but this time oh man, it was amazing, i stood on the left side of the stage by no one i know and just listend, and i was inspired, i ended up walking home from slowdown but whatever it was a walk i needed

tuesday and wen. blended just hung out and worked.

Day two: Bears, Tigers , where is the lions?!

Today was once again a super eventful day in the beautiful city of Minneapolis Minnesota!
we started the day off rather early for my normal times Bright and early at ten am!
but waking up and seeing the Downtown skyline was absolutely amazing!
we started our morning by going to Uptown Minneapolis!

this is like a our old market for you omaha kids! but this is way better i think!
they have a great shop called Ragstock with some super sweet old clothing kinda like our retro!

after that we went for lunch! at this place called Bad Waitress, and to be honest the name is true. our waitress did nothing and wants tips? it is a place where you write your order bring it up, get your own drink, and then they bring you your food. but the food was amazing had one of the best burgers i have had. but one thing i liked alot was the table names where after Comic book super heroes and villains! we had Mr.Fantastic hell yeah!

the morning started of very very cold and we did not think we where going to make it to the zoo but it got sunny and very nice out! so we where like HELL YES! this zoo was awesome, it was mostly indoors but did not disappoint! it had a lot of great animals but some i was super excited about and got to see where: Komodo(SPELLING!?) Dragon , DOLPHIN!, Panda, and the bears. The dolphin was absolutely beautiful, The panda was a sleeepy bear!, and the bears where moving fighting and just Loving life. the big thing that i really liked about this zoo is the interaction, you could actully touch sharks, and sting rays. and all the exibits where super close to the animals, and they where are super active. the zoo was a total success..oh did i metion we got in for 5 dollars?! since my mommy is so good at what she does?! i fully recomend going to this zoo if your in the area!


After this we ventured downtown, and walked around for about three hours! went to The biggest Porn/Head shop in the midwest Sexworld! SO MUCH PORN! AND SOOOOO MANY DILDOS! it was a silly time. we then ate at applebees. i ordered chicken stripes THEY GAVE ME THREE! WTF!?

But so far the number one thing in my book this trip is when i got to go to the very top of the IDS building( the tallest building in the city) i was able to see at least four miles each way the veiw was so amazing, i could not belive it. pictures to come soon! we then called it a night and went to Katies house morgans old roommate from school! we are nw just hanging around watching a movie if you must know!

I am loving this weekend and am glad i got away for a weekend, This week i get serious work starts thursday! super excited for that! i want to thank everyone who actulley reads this.

This trip was so worth every penny.

tomorrow we are going to the Walker Scuplter Garden(the spoon cherry!) and the Science Muesume of Minneapolis , and st.Paul to see the artwork and the buildings!

Day one of Minneapolis!

The drive went really well!, lots of silly tunes, and sleep i drove about the whole way morgan drove the last hour since i HATE driving in this city.

Seriously imagine rush hour, all of the time, with construction everywhere!

we started the day of right when we got.

how you ask, well a free metal show of course!

Bury Your Dead Sing - a - long pile on was crazy looked pretty much just like this but outside!


after that we went to visit some of morggys old school friends did not stay for long, but we will be seeing them more this evening!

then we went to the mall of america HOLLYY MOLLIEAAAA that place is big! it is like the size of downtown but three floors no lie! crazyy ill! Justin and i rode this roller coster there it was super fun morgan did not thou :( SHE SCAARRDDDY CAT!



we then got our hotel and called it a day!

we stayed at this hella nice place called The Millenium it was a awesome view!



All in all Day one WAS AWESOME!

I love Morgan robb and JV Ohh YEAHH!

Jacob Bannon, Artist, Musician. Sometimes i get bored and look around the internet, i recently came across Jacob Bannon's website, Most of you know him as the Vocal's of Converge.

Converge is one of thee best bands of out time if you ask me, Super Heavy, lyrics that you know took time and they feel and love. But he also makes so much amazing art it is hard to believe he has time. He is on Deathwishs Records web store with a few merch designs, along with a GIANT painting be sold at 350 a piece.

American Hardcore

Excellent documentary "American Hardcore" shows the influential musical moment when a defiantly anti-commercial underground put a distinctive U.S. stamp on the punk movement. Mirroring in propelling force and visual aesthetic the music (and poster/album cover art) itself, sharp survey brings an insular, now largely sometimes forgotten scene back to vivid life. Just as in the early '80s, however, hardcore remains an area of fervent interest to a few, esoteric at best to everyone else.  I think this movie shows allot of musical history and if you care anything about music, i recommend watching this movie. If you are not into hardcore, punk rock i still recommend watching this for the of the history in which one of thee most political, hard, fast paced music still is growing today.
